This
female albino boa is loaded with babies in this photo, and
the father is something very special. The picture below is
the father as a baby. We made the decision in the fall of
2007' to breed these two boas together for several reasons:
1.
One breeder in Europe accuses the Salmonboa project of originating
from a Sabogae boa. This is not true at all; the Salmonboa
project began in the mid 90's and we did not get our first
Sabogae boa until 2002.
2.
Its important to understand how the hypomelanism of the Sabogae
boa works genetically.
3.
It was evident and inevitable that the Sabogae boa would eventually
get "morphed" and bred to other types of boas, so
we chose to lead the way in learning how this boa is similar,
unique, and different from its cousins and counterparts.
